Amandari, perched on an escarpment high above the Ayung River Gorge, is only five minutes from the art center of Ubud. Amandari (peaceful spirits) reflects all the tranquillity and serenity, the art and culture, of upcountry Bali.

Amankila (peaceful hill) is a cliff-side beach resort overlooking the Lombok Strait in East Bali. The resort, with its three-tiered swimming pool and 45-meter Beach Club pool, includes 34 suites linked by elevated walkways. Karangasem, the regency surrounding Amankila, may be Bali's most traditional, with villages whose way of life has changed little over the centuries. Here, too, you can find the royal remains of East Bali's court culture.

Amanusa (peaceful isle) and its 35, thatched-roof suites sit peacefully on a garden hillside in southern Bali, with open views of Nusa Dua, the ocean and, in the distance, volcanic Mount Agung. The Bali Golf and Country Club lies adjacent to the resort. A wealth of shopping areas is just a short drive away. Amanusa's own Beach Club -- nine private, cushioned pavilions -- is set on a deep-sand beach just down from the resort.
